We support complex, regulated programs where cybersecurity, DevSecOps engineering, and cloud infrastructure are critical to mission success. This role supports a mission-critical aerospace and defense program requiring work within a secure SCIF environment in Sterling, Virginia. Position Overview Elevate Technology Solutions is seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to support the design, implementation, and operation of secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure for mission-critical applications. The DevSecOps Engineer will collaborate closely with development, operations, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and reliable integration, testing, and deployment of software across on-premise and cloud environments. This role requires hands-on experience with automation, containerized application deployment, and secure development pipelines in classified environments. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines across on-premise and cloud environments operating at multiple security levels Integrate development tools, applications, and scripts into secure DevSecOps pipelines Support selection and implementation of DevSecOps technologies that enable automation for product development teams Develop scripts and applications that support integration of software updates and automated workflows Implement automated testing, deployment, and software artifact generation within CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with cross-functional development, operations, and security teams to deliver reliable software systems Support Agile development environments and participate in sprint planning and release cycles Analyze system performance and scalability, implementing improvements where needed Conduct technical investigations to identify root causes of incidents and implement preventive improvements Required Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance required Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related field Minimum 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps engineering, cloud engineering, or software infrastructure roles Experience developing scripts and automation using Bash and Python Hands-on experience with Git-based version control systems such as GitLab or BitBucket Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar platforms Experience building and deploying containerized applications using Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or equivalent platforms Strong experience working in Linux environments, including system configuration and application deployment Experience with artifact management platforms such as JFrog Artifactory or similar tools Experience deploying CI/CD pipelines in both on-premise infrastructure and cloud environments Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and Agile development environments Understanding of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve issues in mission-critical environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana Familiarity with REST API integration Strong Linux administration experience and understanding of the software development lifecycle Knowledge of Java programming Understanding of IP networking and networking protocols Experience working with AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) or similar container platforms DoD IA certification (Security+, CySA+, or higher) preferred Advanced degree in a related technical field Work Location This role is fully onsite in Sterling, Virginia and requires work inside a Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) supporting classified mission systems.
