Shelter Program Manager

The Shelter Program Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of our family shelter. You will often be the first voice families hear and first face families see when they look to Family Promise for shelter. In this role, you will be expected to work closely with families, co-workers, volunteers and colleagues in a polite and respectful manner.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide case management for all families in our shelter program including conducting screenings, assessments, interviews and intakes.
Create case plans for each family.
Make referrals for all family members for services and community that will help them reach their goals and remain stable upon discharge.
Responsible for all aspects of the shelter program including, but not limited to, ensuring guest compliance with the case plan and all shelter rules and expectations.
Maintain contact with Volunteer Coordinators regarding families in shelter, concerns while at congregations, and notifying coordinators of important information.
Develop, implement and oversee all aspects of the SkillUP training program including, scheduling facilitators, coordinating dinner, ensuring families have transportation.
Maintain all client files with accuracy and precision in a timely manner.
Provide daily oversight for the drivers and weekend monitor.
This position is on-call every 3rd week and is expected to be within 30 minutes of Roanoke while on-call in the event a response is needed.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university/college with major course work in the areas of psychology, social work, or a related human service field. A minimum of two years' experience working with children and families in a social services setting. Experience working with homeless families or individuals preferred.

Pay: $43,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
