Position Overview: We’re looking for a Director of Supply Chain to manage and execute an optimum global supply chain operation to meet the demands of both the customers and Anitox. This includes managing global raw material, packaging and associated product procurement, and balancing the cash investment in material holdings with the available stock on hand for both in-house and 3rd party production in order to meet OTIF and OPEX targets. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Operations, you will also be responsible for delivering excellence in customer service levels across globally, across the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. Primary Responsibilities: Manage the day to day of our third-party manufacturing partners and warehousing to ensure continuity of quality, cost, delivery, safety, and service metrics. Ensure vendor relationships are maintained to provide a high level of quality and service for both material and services provided to Anitox. Ensure inventories are maintained at workable levels, balance the stock on hand with the appropriate cash investments in those inventories. By raising purchase orders in line with the company’s authorization matrix. Execute continuous improvement measures, especially as they relate to cost, delivery, and service. Be a champion of quality and ensure full compliance with GMP+, ISO, OSHA and feed safety etc. Manage the global customer support teams, developing the team to put the customer first, and be ‘cost to serve’ savvy. Ensure all work undertaken within the department is completed to the required timescales, with sufficient measurement and review processes in place to ensure acceptable levels of accuracy. Manage all the day-to-day shipping and logistics activities globally, including all the logistics vendor relationships. Managing exceptions and deviations to planned shipments, finding quick and least cost solutions to problems that occur. Have legal oversight of shipping ensuring the global business operates legally with regards to Hazmat, customs regulations, global sanctions and feed safety. Ensure all customs paperwork is completed as needed and seek to understand when we facing customs nonconformities. Responsible for the effective management and control of the departmental budget. Champion the functionality and effective use of QAD across the organization. Ensure the organizations's ERP system has data integrity with regular inventory counts, updated pricing and timely execution of transactions, and that the CRM (SalesForce) is used effectively and when appropriate notes are added to customer records. Ensure country profiles are maintained, kept live and accurate to ensure the global team has an effect succession plan. Provide single-point accountability and leadership for all supply planning and logistics for EMEA & Asia Pacific. Manages the risks associated with volatility of both demand and supply. Key responsibilities include managing the resources that perform Production Planning/Master Scheduling activities to deliver service, cost, and cash objectives. Works’ cross-functionally to identify losses and improvements across the Value Stream, develop plans to mitigate problems and losses, and then ensure execution of those plans. Manages team by placing value on discipline in execution of standard work, bias for action in delivery customer excellence and cross-functional collaboration. Creates an environment of continuous improvement with emphasis placed on building a culture of personal ownership Identify capacity constraints across next 3 years and align on solutions to resolve. Expereince/Qualifications/Skills/Attributes: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) supply chain, logistics or similar business discipline. Proven management & leadership experience. Excellent written and speaking. Experience in managing supply chain, procurement and contract manufacturing. Experience with quality systems, such as GMP+, ISO or TQM. Lean manufacturing knowledge. Strong understanding of worldwide supply chain strategies, and geopolitical risks. People Management experience, including the remote management of overseas staff in other time zones. Qualified to manage customs processes for either the USA or EU. Also, a wider understanding of global customs rules in accordance with WTO (World Trade Organization). Understand the UN legal framework of transporting dangerous goods. Understand the rules and laws around the transportation, import and export of foods and animal feed products for all the countries we trade with. Highly computer literate. Strong effective people leadership, management and motivational skills. Excellent organization, administration skills, decision making and teamworking skills. Resourceful & committed. Hours of Work: Working hours are standard Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm and will be modified to meet the expectations of sales goals (customer hours, after-hours work as required).
