Senior Security Engineer (Government)

AT&TGovernment Customer is looking for a Senior Security Engineer resource withprimary focus on the design, implementation and maintenance of network andapplication firewall instances in accordance with agency security policiesand guidelines. Successful candidate should be well-versed with network andsecurity design and implementation best-practices. The resource will support the WebApplication Firewall (WAF) tuning and maintenance activities. The WAF requires us to work closely withother network security staff to eliminate threats that could attack our webapplications, corrupt data, or steal Customer data. The resource would also be responsible forworking with the SOC to tune and improve the firewall intrusion detectionsystems. This activity would enhanceour ability to detect and prevent real attacks by reducing the incidents seenin the SOC. The person may workdirectly with the Firewall Auditing Tool staff to deploy firewall changes thatimprove our security posture based on the Firewall Auditing Tool Analysis.Required Skills,Experience, and Education:Imperva WAF certified2-3 years experience with Imperva6-8 years security engineer experience, firewalls, IDS/IPS devices andsignaturesExperience with generating system as-built guides as well as key standardoperating procedures in the network securityarea.Strong architectural design and implementation skillsBachelors in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.Ability to support operationand maintenance activities in non-business hours as neededAbility to work independently as well as in team environmentsStrong oral and written communication skills necessary to clearly understandand document work.Ability to thrive in a fast paced team environment and multitask many ongoingtasks simultaneously.All work is performed at the customer site in Washington D.C.Management has the right to add or change duties and job requirements at anytime.US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status.Required ClearanceAbility to obtain Public Trust Clearance ifrequired.
