Lead Apigee Developer

Lead Apigee DeveloperWe are seeking a highly skilled Lead Apigee Developer to design, develop, and manage enterprise-grade API platforms using Google Apigee. The role requires deep expertise in API design, security, and lifecycle management, with a strong focus on scalable, high-performance integrations. A candidate with a strong Java/J2EE background and integration experience (microservices, middleware, ESB) will be highly preferred.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, and implementation of API solutions using Apigee (Edge/X/Hybrid)Define and enforce API design standards, governance, and best practicesBuild and manage API proxies, shared flows, policies, and security frameworksImplement robust API security (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, rate limiting, threat protection)Design and develop integration solutions across systems (cloud/on-prem)Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of APIsWork closely with architecture, product, and engineering teams to enable digital transformation initiativesProvide technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviewsTroubleshoot and resolve production issues and optimize API performanceSupport CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for API deploymentsRequired Skills & Experience:8+ years of experience in software development and integration4+ years of hands-on experience with Apigee (Edge/X/Hybrid)Strong expertise in: API development and lifecycle managementRESTful APIs and API standardsAPI security (OAuth, JWT, etc.)Experience with API gateway policies, debugging, and analyticsStrong understanding of cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable)Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.)Excellent problem-solving and communication skillsNice-to-Have / Preferred:Strong background in Java/J2EE (Spring Boot, Microservices)Experience with integration technologies (ESB, middleware, Kafka, messaging systems)Exposure to OpenShift/Kubernetes-based deploymentsExperience in financial services or enterprise-scale platformsKnowledge of API monetization and developer portalsLeadership Expectations:Drive API strategy and roadmap alignment with enterprise architectureMentor junior developers and guide best practices adoptionAct as a technical SME for API and integration architectureDiverse Lynx LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
