Job Title: Full Stack Engineer - 3D Secure Payments IntegrationLocation: Charlotte, NCJD:Job Description: Full Stack Engineer - 3D Secure Payments IntegrationWe are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to support 3D Secure (3DS) payment initiatives for Visa's client. This role will focus primarily on backend API integrations and payments orchestration, while also requiring the ability to support targeted UI updates related to the 3DS authentication flow.The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in API engineering, payment systems, and cloud-based application development. While the current backend environment uses Node.js, language specific expertise is secondary to deep capability in backend integrations, secure payment workflows, and sound cloud engineering.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and enhance backend integrations supporting 3D Secure payment authentication flowsDevelop and maintain APIs and services used in payment processing and issuer authentication interactionsWork on payment domain use cases, including secure transaction flows, redirects, and authentication needsSupport cloud native engineering efforts, including secure service developmentContribute to UI and frontend modifications where needed for 3DS user journeys, especially around:redirects to issuer pagesreturn flows from issuer authenticationupdates required to align existing solutions across NA and APAC markets from what is currently available in EMEA.Partner with cross functional teams to ensure compliance, usability, and performance across regional implementationsRequired SkillsStrong experience building and integrating backend APIsSolid knowledge of payments systems, ideally including 3D Secure authentication flowsExperience with cloud engineering and modern distributed application environmentsHands-on backend development experience; Node.js is preferred/currently used, but equivalent backend engineering strength is acceptableAbility to work across the stack when needed, especially for UI updates tied to payment/authentication flowsUnderstanding of secure authentication, and integration between merchant, network, and issuer systems
