Milacron is looking for a Screw Design Engineer to join our team in Batavia, OH. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and developing screw geometries that meet defined performance requirements for extrusion, blow molding, and injection molding processes, while supporting sales, manufacturing, and customers with technical expertise.Work You'll Do:Design and develop screw geometries to achieve defined performance requirements for extrusion, blow molding, and injection molding applicationsSupport sales teams and customers by specifying appropriate screw designs and materials based on application and polymer requirementsCreate, review, and manage engineering drawings, prints, and documentation for screws and barrelsProvide technical support for order issues, quotations, and customer applications, including post-sale supportSupport manufacturing and operations during the production of screws and barrels and contribute to new screw design technology developmentQualifications:Must Have:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years of experience in screw design, plastics or polymer processing, or a closely related engineering roleAbility to create and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentationExperience providing technical support to internal teams and customersNice to Have:Hands-on experience operating or supporting plastic processing machineryExperience with extrusion, blow molding, or injection molding equipment and applicationsExperience specifying materials for screws and barrels based on polymer and process requirementsWho we are:Milacron is a global leader in the manufacture, distribution and service of highly engineered and customized systems within the $27 billion plastic technology and processing industry.
