*Job Overview*We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Child Care Director to lead and inspire our early childhood education programs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of young learners while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.*REQUIREMENTS*Education:A 4-year degree/ 2-year Associate degree (ECE, Child Development, etc.) plus 3 years experience,ORA Master's in a related field plus 1 year experience, ORRelevant coursework (e.g., 24+ ECE semester hours) plus 3 years experience.Experience: Significant experience working with young children in group settings.Professional Development: Must adhere to Guam's Plan for Professional Development (GPPD) and obtain Path A Certification through the Bureau of Child Care Services (BCCS).POLICE, COURT, AND HEALTH CLEARANCESBACKGROUND CHECK*Duties*Lead the overall management of the child care program, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and quality standardsDevelop and implement curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, creativity, and social-emotional growthSupervise staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional developmentFoster positive relationships with families through regular communication, meetings, and feedback sessionsOversee daily operations including enrollment procedures, health and safety protocols, and classroom managementCoordinate with education administration to align program goals with organizational policiesMonitor budgetary needs, resource allocation, and maintain accurate record-keeping for licensing and accreditation purposes*Skills*Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams in educational or childcare settingsExcellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff, children, and familiesKnowledge of early childhood education principles and curriculum developmentExperience working with students or young children in educational environmentsFamiliarity with education administration processes and licensing requirementsAbility to organize multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detailHigher education teaching experience or university experience is a plus for understanding broader educational frameworksThis role is perfect for motivated professionals eager to make a meaningful impact in early childhood education.
