Senior Project Engineer

Join MRA Group, where your skills will be recognized, and your career can thrive.Responsibilities:Project Execution & CoordinationSupport Project Managers in executing capital projects, including lab fit-outs, MEP upgrades, and infrastructure improvementsCoordinate all phases of projects from design through construction and closeoutTrack project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completionAssist in managing multiple concurrent technical projectsTechnical Engineering SupportReview engineering drawings, specifications, and submittals for MEP and specialized systemsCoordinate with design engineers to ensure constructability and alignment with field conditionsSupport commissioning activities and system startup for complex infrastructureAssist in troubleshooting technical issues during construction and post-installationMEP & Lab Systems CoordinationSupport installation and integration of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and specialized lab systems (exhaust, redundancy, clean power, etc.)Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, and phasing plans within occupied or operational facilitiesEnsure minimal disruption to ongoing tenant or facility operationsDocument Control & AdministrationManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentationMaintain accurate logs and ensure timely processing and responsesEnsure proper document control and version tracking across all stakeholdersVendor & Contractor CoordinationInterface with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure project alignmentAssist in bid review and contractor selection processesMonitor contractor performance, schedules, and adherence to scopeCost & Budget SupportAssist in tracking project budgets, reviewing invoices, and monitoring cost impactsSupport change order evaluation and cost control effortsContribute to project forecasting and financial reportingCompliance, Safety & QualityEnsure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirementsSupport the implementation of QA/QC procedures for construction and systems installationParticipate in site walks to monitor quality, safety, and progressQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management5–10+ years of relevant experienceExperience in laboratory, life sciences, manufacturing, or mission-critical environments preferredStrong understanding of MEP systems and building infrastructureExperience with active facility projects (renovations, upgrades, occupied spaces) preferredSkills & Competencies:Strong technical and problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret complex engineering documentsExcellent organizational and communication skillsProficiency in Banner, Yardi, and ExcelAbout Company:MRA Group (MRA) is a real estate development and client service organization founded on integrity, partnership, community, and people.
