Line Cook

Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items following recipes and chef instructions Set up and stock kitchen stations before service Chop, portion, and prep ingredients (meat, vegetables, sauces) Plate dishes accurately and consistently Maintain cleanliness and organization of work station Follow food safety and sanitation standards Coordinate with kitchen team to ensure timely service Store food properly and label ingredients Assist with inventory and restocking These duties keep the kitchen running efficiently and ensure consistent quality.Required Skills Strong knife skills and basic cooking techniques Ability to work fast under pressure Attention to detail and consistency Teamwork and communication Time management and multitasking Knowledge of food safety regulations Qualifications Previous kitchen or restaurant experience (often 4+ year preferred) Food safety certification (required) Work Environment Fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen Long hours standing, lifting, and moving Exposure to heat, noise, and busy service periods More detail about Arla Chicago part of Hospitality Included, please visit
