Yard Supervisor - Metals Recycling - Base Salary to 75k/year - Warrensville, PA
Our client, a well-established metals recycling and scrap processing organization, is seeking aYard Supervisorto oversee daily yard operations including material flow, production, inventory, and team performance.
This is ahands-on, working supervisor roleresponsible for leading yard personnel while actively supporting scrap processing operations. The schedule is Monday through Friday with a rotating Saturday requirement.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily scrap yard operations includingreceiving, grading, processing, and outbound shipments of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
Monitor and managematerial flow from inbound scale through sorting, processing, and shipping
Lead and support a team of yard employees includingequipment operators, laborers, and material handlers
Operate and oversee heavy equipment such asmaterial handlers, excavators, loaders, mobile shears, and stationary processing equipment
Track and reportproduction metrics, inventory levels, and daily throughput
Ensure adherence tosafety standards, equipment protocols, and operational procedures
Maintain accountability foremployee productivity, attendance, and overall yard performance
Coordinate with leadership onproduction goals, scheduling, and operational improvements
Qualifications:
2+ years of supervisory experiencewithinmetals recycling, scrap processing, steel, foundry, or heavy industrial environments
Hands-on experience working withferrous and/or non-ferrous metals , includingmaterial grading and identification
Experience operating and supervising use of heavy equipment such asmaterial handlers, loaders, excavators, and shear equipment
Ability to work in ahigh-volume, outdoor industrial yard environment
Ability to work arotating Saturday schedule as required
Demonstrated experience maintainingsafe work practices in an industrial setting
Compensation:
Base salary in the 65k - 75k/year range
Profit sharing bonus structure
