We are looking for a Senior GN&C Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team supporting the development and analysis of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket in Huntsville AL. What you will do...: Regular tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Mathematical modeling of GN&C and launch vehicle or spacecraft subsystems (propulsion/engines, TVC, RCS, mass properties, aero, slosh, flex, environments, dispersions, etc.) in a 6DoF simulation environment Analyzing vehicle dynamics associated with launch vehicle or spacecraft Configuring and executing high-fidelity 6DoF simulations Performing 6DoF Monte Carlo simulation and statistical based analysis Performing GN&C design and analysis of launch vehicles or spacecraft Reviewing and providing comments on technical documentation Generating detailed analysis reports / slide packages and presenting / communicating results to customers. Skills you will need...: Basic Requirements Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university Candidate must have at least MS+10 years (or PhD+8 years) of direct experience in the following areas: 6DoF modeling and simulation Monte Carlo simulation and statistical analysis Guidance, Navigation or Control C/C++ programming Candidate must be a resident of Huntsville – North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the area Candidate must be willing to travel up to approximately 5% of time Candidate must show proof of US Citizenship Desired experience Familiarity with NASA programs and requirements Guidance, Navigation, and Control C/C++ programming language Python scripting language #CJ
