Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | Variable Hours/Variable DaysSalary Range: $22.57 and up, depending on relative experienceShift Differentials$1.44 extra an hour for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm (swing)$2.55 extra an hour for working between 11:00pm and 7:00am (nights)$1.27 extra an hour for working weekends Position SummaryThe role of the Endoscopy Technician is to safely and competently assist physicians with endoscopic procedures throughout the hospital. The Endoscopy Tech is also responsible for the proper cleaning and maintenance of reusable equipment necessary for these procedures.As an Endoscopy Tech you will have the opportunity to:Perform endoscopic therapeutic and diagnostic procedures according to departmental standards and protocolsAssist the physicians with the procedure, collecting specimens and processing according to policyEnsure that the equipment is set-up correctly and is functioning properly before procedure begins and trouble shoot problems effectively during the procedure if neededEnsure that the equipment is cleaned and reprocessed according to departmental standardsMaintain skills to provide a quality service and keep current with the industryCommunicate pertinent information concerning the procedure to the appropriate staff and physicianQualificationsExperienceMinimum 2 years of direct patient care experience, preferably in an acute care environment, is requiredLicensure/CertificationsBLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon startPreferred CertificationsSGNA: Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates CertificationTotal Rewards We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support your well-being and professional growth, including:Competitive Pay: Hourly and salaried positions earn market-based compensation.
