Organization Details Organization Information Floyd County Schools serves over 6300 students daily attending 16 different schools. We have 4 highs schools, 3 middle schools, 3 primary through grade 8 schools, 5 primary through grade 5 schools, and a district alternative program. According to the 2010 - 2011 NCLB report, 11 of 15 schools met 100 percent of their NCLB target goals for 2011. A structured course of study exists from Head Start through Advanced Placement. An instructional focus with high expectations maintains a progressive perspective in providing effective educational programs for Floyd County students. Our Family Resource Youth Service Centers assist families in overcoming non-cognitive learning barriers. Pre-school and Headstart centers serve children at each of the elementary schools and there is also a Career & Technical Center that benefits high school students.
