Job Title: Senior AccountantJob DescriptionThis Senior Accountant role focuses on providing accurate financial reporting and supporting the full accounting cycle within a manufacturing environment. The position requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage month-end close activities, maintain the general ledger, and work collaboratively with a personable and mature approach that aligns with the team culture.Responsibilities+ Manage and execute the full month-end close process, ensuring all deadlines are met and financial information is accurate and complete.+ Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.+ Prepare and analyze financial data related to manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate cost and inventory accounting.+ Use Excel to compile, analyze, and present financial data, including reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.+ Work within an ERP system to record, track, and report financial transactions in accordance with company policies.+ Collaborate with colleagues across finance and operations to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.+ Support internal and external reporting by providing accurate financial information and documentation as needed.+ Contribute to a positive team culture by communicating clearly, acting professionally, and supporting continuous improvement in accounting practices.Essential Skills+ Proven accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.+ Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.+ Proficiency in Excel for financial analysis, reporting, and data management.+ Hands-on experience working with an ERP system for financial transactions and reporting.+ Ability to work accurately with financial data and maintain strong attention to detail.+ Mature, professional, and personable demeanor that fits well within a collaborative team.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.+ Background in cost or inventory accounting within manufacturing is beneficial.+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in an accounting context.+ Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.+ Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support process improvements in finance.Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a professional office setting within a manufacturing-focused organization.
