Mainframe Developer (Assembler, CICS, Cobol)

Mainframe DeveloperLocation: no location requirement, CST and EST preferred (Chicago would be nice)Key Areas of Responsibilities:Leading in the migration of TopSecret jobs to RACFDevelop and define application scope and objectives and prepare technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.Analyzing user requirements and translating them into technical specificationsTesting and debugging applications to ensure they meet quality standardsPromote improvements in lean software engineering practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutionsProviding support and maintenance for existing mainframe applicationsKey Desired Skills, Experience and Knowledge:5 years or more experience with Assembler Command Level CICS and/or z/OSGood knowledge of RACF and Top Secret5 years or more of Cobol, Batch Processing, JCL knowledge5 years or more of experience with Cobol Command Level CICSMainframe coding know-how with the ability to remedy code issues in a timely mannerStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously#DICEcschulz@c4techservices.com
