Description:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintenance, Inspection and troubleshooting of 4160 V, 13.8 KV and 480 V switchgear, breakers, and transformers.3-phase electric motor control circuitry troubleshooting and repairMaintenance, inspection and troubleshooting of plant rectifiers and associated equipment.Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, flow diagrams, P&ID's, and construction blueprints.Install conduit and conduit bracing and fittings.Performs preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment for the plant.Performs installation, testing, troubleshooting, removal, and repair of a wide range of electrical equipment such as power circuits, lighting systems, switchgear, transformers, starters, Variable Frequency Drives, controllers, capacitors, production equipment, power and control systems, programmable logic controllers, and electronic power, control, and communication equipment.Works to meet current electrical codes and company policies and practices.Selects proper electrical equipment size, wire, and conduit sizes, breaker, switch, and fuse sizes.Ensures that safety procedures are followed.Utilizes electrical wiring diagram in electrical diagnosis.Maintains accurate electrical one-line diagrams and labeling on electrical equipment.AC variable frequency drives Thermal PhotographyCOMPETENCIESMust be familiar in electrical troubleshooting and repair techniques.Good personal computer working skills.Familiar with MS Office suite including Excel and Word.Requirements:EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEHigh School Education or equivalentAt least one of the following:Completion of state recognized electrical apprenticeship programAssociate degree in electrical engineering technologySeven years of experience as a plant maintenance electrician in a manufacturing environmentEquivalent combination of education, training, and experience
