Its technology helps developers manage complex codebases and build more reliable systems while fostering an active open-source community.The organization is continuing to grow with a strong focus on improving the developer experience through open-source software, technical innovation, and community engagement.About the OpportunityThe Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure Foundations plays a key role in shaping and executing the technical strategy for core infrastructure spanning compute, networking, cloud orchestration, storage, and observability.This position designs and builds foundational systems that optimize cloud resource utilization, scalability, reliability, and engineering velocity. The role requires strong cross-team collaboration, system-level thinking, and a commitment to engineering and operational excellence.Responsibilities• Build systems that optimize cloud resource usage and support organizational growth• Contribute to infrastructure architecture, technical strategy, and project execution• Co-author infrastructure roadmaps focused on scalability, reliability, and engineering velocity• Maintain a strong culture of engineering and operational excellence• Build partnerships across engineering and product teams• Align technical roadmaps through cross-functional collaboration• Conduct design reviews with a focus on infrastructure scalability, reliability, and maintainability• Partner with Security to develop secure-by-default infrastructure systems• Engage with stakeholders and customers to understand requirements and support their needs• Evaluate opportunities to leverage the organization’s software to power infrastructure at scale• Share design principles and contribute to team learning, mentorship, and technical growthRequirements• Proven experience working on complex, cross-team engineering initiatives involving cloud, compute, networking, storage, or related infrastructure• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills• Ability to drive organizational alignment and contribute to long-term technical roadmaps• Proven ability to evaluate system-level tradeoffs and make sound architectural decisions• 10+ years of professional coding experience in Go, Java, or a similar programming language, including experience with concurrent programming• Experience designing and building distributed systems using concurrency primitives• Deep expertise in at least one infrastructure domain with working knowledge of related areas• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or AzurePay Range and Compensation Package• Estimated pay range of $176,000 to $237,600 per year• Eligibility to participate in the organization’s equity planBenefits & Perks• Unlimited paid time off• 12 company holidays plus 2 floating holidays• Medical, dental, and vision insurance with full premium coverage• AD&D, short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance, including supplemental options• Empower 401(k) plan• Learning and development support• Lifestyle spending benefits• Home office setup support• Professional membership opportunities• Work-from-home meal benefits• Internet stipendEqual Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
