Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise will ensure that roofing projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools and power tools to ensure proper fit and coverage. Install various roofing systems including asphalt shingles, metal roofing, tile, and flat roof membranes according to project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project requirements. Prepare roofing surfaces by cleaning, repairing damaged areas, and applying appropriate underlayment or insulation materials. Use heavy lifting techniques safely to transport materials such as shingles, metal panels, or concrete forms to elevated work areas. Perform maintenance and repairs on existing roofs, including sealing with caulking or applying restoration techniques. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of roofing with other building systems. Follow safety protocols diligently while working at heights or on scaffolding; utilize fall protection equipment effectively. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on roofing projects. Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., hammers, screwdrivers), power tools (e.g., nail guns, drills), and fabrication equipment. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read blueprints or schematics accurately. Familiarity with various roofing materials such as asphalt shingles, metal panels, tiles, or membrane systems. Experience in related trades such as framing carpentry, trim carpentry, masonry, or stucco is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in physically demanding environments. Prior maintenance person experience or metal stud framing knowledge is advantageous for versatile project support.
