Summary: The Inpatient DRG Facility Coder is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and assigning accurate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, ICD-10-PCS procedure codes, and MS-DRGs for acute care inpatient hospital encounters. This role ensures compliance with Official Coding Guidelines, CMS regulations, Coding Clinic guidance, and organizational policies while supporting accurate reimbursement, quality reporting, and regulatory compliance. This position requires at least 1 year of RECENT experience. Medical Coding: Assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes to patient encounters, ensuring adherence to coding guidelines and documentation standards. Review medical records, encounter forms, and other documentation to abstract relevant information for coding purposes. Translate medical terminology and procedures into standardized codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II code sets. "The pay range for this position starts at $33.00; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
