Production Group Leader

We look forward to hearing from you. ~The FCC (Adams) Staff In-house manufacturing capabilities include: Transfer Press Stamping/Forming, Grob Forming, Flow Forming, Aluminum Die Casting, Electron Beam Welding, CNC Machining & Drilling and Assembly. FCC is seeking experienced, ambitious and dedicated Group Leaders on 2nd & 3rd shifts. This is a Hourly Non Exempt position. Role Support the production department with effective supervision to produce high quality parts in a safe, cost efficient manner. Comply with all company safety, quality and environmental standards Responsibilities 1. Assist with assignment of duties for associates. Filling in for absentees when needed to meet production schedule 2. Ensure complete and accurate associate training (8-day OJT, Initial Evaluation, Annual Evaluations, Performance Reviews) 3. Knowledge of company policies and practices dealing with associate relations 4. Identify and assist with countermeasures in production problem areas, including NG’s 5. Maintain production progress in relationship to the production schedule. Continually check countermeasures and report any extreme delays in production 6. Ensure machine/equipment preventative maintenance plans 7. Lead and assist with departmental continuous improvement activities (product quality, production efficiencies, scrap, downtime, etc) 8. Promote and ensure conformance to the company’s IATF 16949 procedures (work standards, regulations, quality manual) 9. Promote and ensure conformance to the company’s ISO 14001 procedures (recycling, reducing waste) 10. Promote and ensure a safe, clean, harassment free, working environment. Lead and improve department 5C activities 11. Effectively communicate with management, direct supervisor and associates 12. High School diploma/GED equivalency Preferred Skills/Experience 1. Computer knowledge Environmental/Working Conditions 1. Essential functions of this job require the associate to regularly: stand, walk, bend, twist, carry and lift. 2.
