This role involves fabricating metal components using a variety of hand tools and welding equipment while following precise specifications in a fast-paced shop environment. Ideal candidate will be skilled in welding MIG/TIG aluminum, stainless, and steel in a variety of thicknesses and positions. Pay up to $28 DOE. If you are a skilled welder apply now!Key ResponsibilitiesRead, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and bills of materialsPerform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel in various thicknesses and positionsUtilize hand tools such as grinders, weld stud guns, and other fabrication equipmentOperate measuring and inspection tools including calipers, weld gauges, and tape measuresSet up welding machines and maintain equipment using preventative maintenance practicesEvaluate welding processes and equipment to improve efficiency and cycle timesBuild and modify welding fixtures to meet specific geometric requirementsPerform quality checks to ensure all products meet company standardsIdentify defects and complete required documentationRepair or rework welded components per engineering specificationsFollow all safety procedures and quality standardsCommunicate effectively with supervisors to prioritize workflowMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentQualifications & Skills35 years of experience in metal fabrication and weldingHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAbility to read and follow instructions and blueprintsBasic computer skills preferredStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamSelf-motivated with a strong work ethicPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 3050 pounds regularlyPerform repetitive tasks throughout the shiftStrong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationAbility to operate a forklift and overhead crane
