Title: Software Development Engineer (Python)Duration: 12 MonthsLocation: Redmond, WAPay Range: $60 - $65/Hr Job Description:This person will own feature requests, backlog, sprint planning, prioritization, and delivery times. Manager wants someone that can almost operate as a product owner and drive business solutions while skilled at writing code.Candidates will join a small, high-impact team (3 SDEs + 1 ops), own features end-to-end, support 15+ engineering teams, and influence the product roadmap Key Responsibilities:Own full lifecycle feature development from requirements gathering through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.Partner directly with internal engineering customers to gather requirements, scope feature requests, and translate business needs into technical solutions.Lead onboarding of new teams adopting the Leo Asset Tracker platform by facilitating intake meetings, setting expectations, and providing technical guidance.Design and develop full-stack applications using Python, React, TypeScript, and AWS cloud technologies.Prioritize customer requests, manage the product backlog, and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.Collaborate closely with electrical, hardware, and software engineering teams to build scalable solutions supporting Project Kuiper operations.Maintain production systems by troubleshooting issues, improving platform reliability, and contributing to architectural enhancements.Create and maintain documentation, onboarding guides, and technical runbooks to improve customer adoption and self-service capabilities. Basic Qualifications:3+ years of professional software development experience.Strong experience developing applications in Python.Experience building full-stack applications.Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.Experience owning software features or products from concept through deployment.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact directly with customers and cross-functional stakeholders.Experience working in Agile development environments.
