Material Operations Analyst

STS Engineering Solutions is hiring a Material Operations Analyst in Denver, Colorado. This role supports aircraft material services with a focus on inventory optimization, demand planning, and process improvement. If you know how to balance inventory levels, reduce waste, and improve system accuracy without breaking operations, this is your lane.Position SummaryThe Analyst, Material Operations role focuses on three key areas: demand planning, inventory management, and process improvement. This position works cross-functionally to determine inventory needs, ensure reporting accuracy, and improve service level performance across aircraft material operations.The Analyst will also develop and manage inventory tracking programs designed to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall operational performance.Job ResponsibilitiesParticipate on cross-functional teams to determine inventory needs based on planned demandAnalyze historical usage rates and component failure rates alongside Recommended Spares Provisioning Lists to determine optimal stocking levels and allocated sparesMinimize on-hand inventory while maintaining required service levelsBuild team consensus on inventory requirements and decision-making processes for stocking level changesIssue requisitions to buyers, answer questions, conduct reviews, and resolve open issuesAnalyze existing inventory levels and open requisitionsWork with operations to manage changes in stocking levelsDevelop processes to identify and track key metrics across the full inventory cycleGain consensus with operations on appropriate metrics and tracking processesReview inventory management processes and gain alignment with Material Services teamsReview and improve cycle count processes to increase accuracyManage cycle count progress and track key performance metricsSupport operating groups in resolving supplier issues including commercial disputes, operational challenges, and communication gapsCollaborate with operating teams to build action plans that improve inventory accuracyIdentify material operations processes that require redesign or enhancement to improve efficiency and accuracyMap current processes, identify weaknesses, and implement improved workflowsImplement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of inventory levelsMaintain familiarity with training requirements as defined in Section 100.03 Maintenance Training for Maintenance Organization Personnel and ensure compliance prior to performing job functionsPerform all other duties as assigned by the Manager, Materials Operations and Inventory ControlAuthorityHas authority to make parts effectiveHas authority to make parts interchangeableHas authority to change part categoryQualifications and ExperienceMust be available to work on site in Denver, ColoradoBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field requiredDegree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or MBA preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, material planning, financial analysis, or related fieldExperience sourcing airline goods and services preferredLeadership or project management experience in supply chain operations or financial analysis preferredStrongly preferred experience using AMOS and or TRAX systems for aircraft materials tracking and managementAbility to read, write, and speak English fluentlyAbility to sit and work at a computer for extended periodsStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and web-based systemsAbility to perform basic mathematical calculationsAble and willing to travel as requiredMust be a U.S. citizen or currently authorized to work in the United States.
