Compressor Mechanic (Jal)

Title: Compressor MechanicLocation: Jal, NMPosition Overview:As a Compressor Mechanic, you will play a vital role within our mechanical team, working closely with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to compressor systems. Your expertise in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing compressors and engines will ensure the seamless operation of equipment in the field.Compressor Mechanics will have the Knowledge and Ability to Perform the Following:• Overhaul, maintain, and repair compressors (250–1200 HP) and related engine systems in field operations• Independently diagnose and troubleshoot compressor and engine failures, ensuring minimal downtime• Perform rebuilds, commissioning, and preventative maintenance on compressors, controls, and rotating equipment• Work with electrical/control systems (Murphy, Altronic, Allen Bradley) and CAT 3300/3600 series engines• Conduct field service including mechanical inspections, component repairs, and on-call emergency responseMandatory Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience with compressors and electrical (Ariel) engines, and a working knowledge of production equipment.Location: Applicants must reside within a 70-mile radius of the location.Mobility: Ability to drive up to 300 miles per day.Technical Skills: Experience with pumping units, plunger lifts, gas lifts, ESPs, VRUs, and VRTs.Documentation: Proficiency in necessary computer documentation and data entry on a daily basis.Compliance: Willingness to undergo background checks, driving record checks, and pass DOT drug screening.
