You will become the product expert and point person for across Fellowes range of architectural products (modular walls) ensuring that we continue to develop innovative and valued products.You Will…Lead the implementation, control and subsequent evaluation of mutigenerational product roadmaps and annual reviews through the understanding and application of key business and financial driversIdentify, initiate, and execute change management opportunities for continuous improvement and simplification of the product linesUse consumer insights, identified channel needs and competitive knowledge to provide input to product strategies and assist in the design, development and launch of new products to the business categoriesIdentify and define product/market opportunities and gain executive project approval through the new product development processAssist in product development and launch execution by demonstrating expertise in the category and market needsGather hands-on knowledge through product evaluations, assembly/installation, working closely with the larger product development team.Execute key product deliverables such as defining key objectives, specifications, features and benefits, competitive advantages, new item authoring, UI/UX, and product manuals.Research emerging technologies and competitive threats and opportunities, and constantly update competitive analysis of key competitors’ activities and their impact on the total businessParticipate in and, when appropriate, lead cross-functional teams in meeting product category and project objectivesManage global communication of product/project status and updatesTravel up to 20% domesticallyWhat You Bring To The Team7-10 years’ experience in the contract furniture industry7-10 years’ relevant experience in product management, product development, engineering and/or marketingA bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical field (Architecture, Construction Management), or marketing/interior design with strong technical aptitudeThe ability to form and drive product concepts in new or unknown categoriesAn aptitude for ideating and developing new solutions to common user and/or business challengesA positive attitude and team orientation, with proven success working cross-functionallyInitiative and self-motivation balanced with a genuine want to help others deliver on shared goalsA high level of detail-orientation and organization, with the ability to prioritize and reprioritize on the flyStrong leadership skills in all aspects of managing a category as well as team membersExcellent written and oral presentation skills for effective communication of complex ideasSolid understanding of the commercial interior/construction project lifecycle from designing and specifying to final punch list.Experience with specifying software systems like CET and 2020.You May Also Have…Experience with other contract furniture products (visual communications, acoustics, desking, monitor arms, etc.)Experience working on a global basis.Sound financial acumenGeneral business management and entrepreneurial skillsFellowes Brands - A Family Business Since 1917For over a century, Fellowes has been committed to positively impacting people through our culture, relationships and solutions.
