By pairing deep legal expertise with hands-on technical knowledge, we help clients modernize operations, reduce costs, and manage risk.The RoleWe’re looking for a software engineer to design, build, and maintain the software and IT solutions that power our practice. You’ll work directly with attorneys and technical staff in a small, fast-moving remote team, owning projects end to end — from scoping and architecture through deployment and ongoing support.This is a remote contract position with strong potential to convert to full-time.What you’ll do: • Design and develop internal tools and client-facing solutions, primarily in Python • Build and integrate LLM-powered workflows for legal and document-intensive use cases • Administer and develop within Microsoft 365 and enterprise IT environments • Design, query, and maintain relational databases • Manage projects independently: scope work, set timelines, communicate progress, and deliver • Troubleshoot issues across systems and implement improvements proactivelyWhat We’re Looking ForRequired: • Strong Python development skills • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and enterprise IT environments • Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) • Experience with relational databases • Project management experience — you can run a project, not just contribute to one • Self-starter mentality: you take initiative, solve problems independently, and push work forward without close supervision • Strong remote collaboration and communication skillsNice to have: • Experience with vector databases • Web design and front-end development experience • Background in legal technology, e-discovery, or a related field
