*REMOTE* Technical Implementation Engineer, Cisco

Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the data industry, is seeking an experienced Technical Implementation Engineer (Cisco). The right candidate will be able to work fully remote and be flexible to work nights or weekends (15-20% of the job). A CCNP is required, whether active or expired is acceptable. Responsibilities: Configure, provision, and activate managed network services for enterprise clientsLead network migrations and deployment projects with minimal service disruptionServe as a technical point of contact throughout onboarding and deploymentSupport global managed services environments, including MAC (Moves/Adds/Changes) activitiesTroubleshoot complex routing, switching, SD-WAN, and connectivity issuesPartner cross-functionally to resolve technical blockers and improve delivery timelinesQualifications: 5–10 years of experience in network engineering, technical consulting, or managed servicesStrong hands-on experience with Cisco ISR/ASR/Catalyst routers & switches and Meraki platforms (MX/MS/MR)Experience with WAN design, routing architectures, and multi-site enterprise environmentsStrong knowledge of:Routing: OSPF, EIGRP, BGPSwitching: STP, RSTP, MST, HSRP/VRRPSD-WAN, IPsec, GRE, DMVPN, VLANs, VRFsExperience with network security hardening, monitoring, and remote deployment supportStrong troubleshooting, communication, and client-facing skillsCisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCDP, or Cisco SD-WAN Specialist
