DescriptionMain Purpose:To close out and ensure quality of job data books. Submit job data books to client portals. Assist as needed clearing material for fabrication. Assist as needed in the Quality Assurance Program with ASME submittals and forms and procedures.Essential FunctionsAssist the document supervisor in clearing material in the file pro software.Assist the document supervisor in entering completed data for file storage in the pro software.Compile throughout the job and create project data books for submittal to the client.Submittal of project data books into the client database as needed.Assistance in form completion and creation of needed ASME documents to maintain program.Responsible for form revision and storage of departmental forms to support business activities.Capable of scanning documents into a file and organizing per client requirements.Creating summery sheets out of the file pro software to create project data books.Organizing job folders easy access and retrieval to create document submittals.Capable of reading job specifications to create software databases for file upload.Have a good understanding of NDE reports and how to tie back into a weld and drawing number.Able to create Gulf Island DOT cover sheets for client submittals.Assist the document supervisor as needed.Benefits OfferedEarned Wage AccessHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid HolidaysPaid VacationLife InsuranceDisability InsuranceSafety AwardsCompany StoreEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)RequirementsPhysical Requirements:Standing - Is an essential job function/physical requirement.Walking– Is an essential job function/physical requirement.Turning, Twisting, Bending & Stooping – These are essential job functions/physical requirements.Pushing and Pulling – These are essential job functions/physical requirements.Reaching Forward and Reaching Overhead – These are essential job functions/physical requirements.Climbing – The ability to climb is an essential job function/physical requirement.Balancing, Fingering, Feeling, Talking, Hearing & Seeing – These are all considered normal physical duties/requirements and would be needed/required to work in this industrial environment in a safe and efficient manner.Job RequirementsMust be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.Must be able to pass background check.Desirable Experience, Education, And Training3 years of quality control department experience.Tools, Equipment, And TechnologyOffice equipment including Printers, Computers, Phones, and Fax Machines.Environmental Conditions95 percent of the work activities are performed inside.Gulf Island will not sponsor applications for work visas.
