This role applies technical expertise in BIM and CAD software to develop accurate construction drawings, coordinate across disciplines, and support project teams throughout the design and construction documentation process. The BIM Technician II works with moderate independence, applying established standards while exercising judgment to resolve technical issues and meet project requirements.ResponsibilitiesPrepare construction drawings and documentation from sketches, markups, and design concepts using BIM and CAD softwareDevelop and modify architectural and structural models in accordance with company standards and project requirementsCoordinate drawings and models with other disciplines, including architecture, structural, and MEP, to identify and resolve clashesReview drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes and standardsAssist project engineers and project managers with document preparation and revisionsManage drawing sets, reference files, view templates, and sheet organizationPerform site plan reviews and understand how grading and foundations impact building systemsApply company CAD/BIM standards and maintain consistent documentation practicesRespond to RFIs and support construction administration documentation as directedWork independently on assigned tasks while seeking guidance for complex or non-standard issuesQualifications And ExperienceExperience producing architectural and/or structural construction drawingsWorking knowledge of BIM and CAD software, including Revit, AutoCAD, and NavisworksUnderstanding of building information modeling (BIM) concepts and workflowsAbility to read and interpret construction documents and architectural/structural codesFamiliarity with company and industry drafting standardsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to coordinate and collaborate across multiple disciplinesPreferred QualificationsAssociate degree or technical training in drafting, architecture, engineering technology, or a related fieldExperience working in an engineering or architectural consulting environmentFamiliarity with clash detection and model coordination processesKnowledge of construction sequencing and constructability principlesLocation: Pheonix, AZCompensation & BenefitsThe expected base salary range for this role is $40.00 - $42.00 USD per hour.
