Using knowledge and understanding of proper fixture design and building to develop new programs and setups. This position will also mentor others learning to use the CAM software.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop or edit programs to achieve a blueprint quality partDesign and direct building of proper fixtures as neededEffectively utilize tooling and machine/equipment to drive operations toward maximum efficiencyMeet production and quality goals in a timely and efficient mannerTrain CNC operators or machinists and those learning to use the CAM softwareUnderstand fit, form, and function of parts for simplified processingUse verbal and written communication/reports to provide updates to leadershipMonitor budgets and machine utilization to understand continuous improvement opportunitiesMust keep work area clean and organizedPerform other job-related duties as assignedExperience and Skills1-3 years' experience in CNC Programming software, Gibbs CAMAbility to read and interpret blue prints and 3D modelsAbility to plan and execute daily and weekly scheduled tasksAbility to provide directions to peers within the Machine departmentHigh attention to detail and qualityAbility to gather data, compile information and prepare reportsSafely operate fork trucks and overhead cranesProficient PC skillsExcellent team player with organizational and time management skillsSafety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standardsEnvironmental, Health and SafetyUnderstand the Company's EH&S policy and how it relates to this jobBe aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as company rules and policies that pertain to this jobWork in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EH&S proceduresImmediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EH&S proceduresAttend required EH&S trainingPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
