SVP Sales & Marketing
Position Summary:This is an executive level position reporting to the CEO with ultimate responsibility for all sales, marketing, R&D, and customer service support groups. The primary responsibilities include the leadership and development of the field sales and marketing organization in collaboration of support departments and develop an overall plan to scale the company’s growth.This position is responsible for sales volume and profit by customer, customer service, developing new products and concepts, customer relationships, sales and marketing strategy and tactics, pricing administration, management of discounts and allowances.Management reserves the right to change or modify the functions of this job as required to meet the needs of the organization. Other duties may be assigned.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for sales volume and profit by customer, customer service, development of new products and concepts, maintaining customer relationships, and driving sales growth.Direct and oversee the marketing department and assure design and marketing strategies align with business goalsAssesses current and potential markets and develop targeted positioning and brandingMaintain current and establish new territories with sales growthTrack actual performance against targets and modify sales and marketing strategies accordingly.Development of Annual Sales and Marketing Plan in collaboration with FinanceCoordinate with Finance department to assure customer profitability and management of discounts and allowances to achieve annual volume and profit plan.Management of trade shows and related spendingResponsible for personnel actions including hiring, performance management and conflict resolutionManagement of pricing files to ensure profitability and avoid customer pricing issuesMaintains close contact with customers to meet and exceed their needsControl travel and office expenses to budget guidelinesAttend trade shows and key account appointments,Annual work with each regional manager and assign annual objective and quarterly tactical plans for members of each department.Collaborates with other members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization and help support strategic planning for the business/Provide strategic and tactical support with involvement in mergers and acquisitionsSupervisor Responsibilities:VP Sales EastVP Sales WestVP Customer DevelopmentVP Sysco Business DevelopmentVP Sales OperationsVP MarketingEducation and/or Experience:College degree with MBA preferred20+ years work experience in directly related fieldQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
