Newly Opening Silverlake Ramen in Downey Hiring Line Cooks! The line cook is the one who prepares the food for individual orders as they come in. They are responsible for setting up and breaking down their station and assuring they have everything they need to perform service. Completing the daily prep list, cleaning, and backing up other stations in the kitchen are also duties filled by this position. As most concepts feature an open kitchen your appearance and demeanor also contribute to the guests’ dining experience. Remember to smile and when necessary engage with guests’ Quality, presentation and ticket times should be the line cooks’ primary focus. In this position timing is important to ensure tickets are completed together and food goes out hot and fresh. Communication with management and kitchen crew is also paramount. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable, be able to manage multiple tickets at once, and work with a sense of urgency. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to Set up Station and stock all necessary supplies and ingredients needed for service Prepare food for service Fire menu items to order Answer to, report and follow KM’s direction Maintain recipe integrity by preparing and plating menu items to company standards Clean up station and restock Ensure that food comes out simultaneously in high quality and in a timely fashion Maintain nutrition, sanitation and safety standards at all times Avoid 86’s by communicating needs to manager / kitchen crew Maintain a positive and professional approach Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $17.27 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid training Shift: Day shift Night shift Experience: Restaurant experience: 2 years (Required) Cooking: 2 years (Required) Ability to Relocate: Downey, CA 90241: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
