The Maintenance Supervisor will also be responsible for keeping track of work progress and work assignments.Essential DutiesManage employees, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform the assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Schedule overtime, coordinate callouts, approve vacations, etc. Coordinate priorities with the Operations Supervisor for preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, repairs, revisions and new construction.Adjust scope, layout, and materials lists for projects and maintenance activities as required. Work with vendors to secure the materials and services as required.Assist in troubleshooting equipment and make recommendations on equipment on how to minimize equipment failures and maintenance repairs.Set and manage expectations for all maintenance employees to ensure the job was completed correctly, the job site is clean, removable insulation reinstalled and all tools & equipment returned to their storage areas.Assist with repairs as needed.Assist planners and coordinators in maintaining inventory of critical spare parts.Manage inventory and supply orders of items such as tools, hoses and fittings.Stay proficient in the use of the company maintenance management system (CMMS) and assist planning and coordination in its utilization. The CMMS system will be used to document plant inventories of parts, equipment repair history, work order scheduling, preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance. CMMS will be used to document approved vendors and generate purchase orders. Respond to injuries and near misses in the appropriate manner as described by company policy. Monitor and manage Maintenance Department Safety Performance in areas to include:Observe all safety policies and proceduresImmediately report any unsafe conditionsMonitor and manage Maintenance Department performance in % Schedule Maintenance vs. Reactive Maintenance, rework maintenance, and other KPI’s as determined by Management.Monitor and minimize maintenance overtime where it will not impact production. Remain current on the requirements of the QMS and ensure that your actions support the Trecora Quality Policy towards continual improvement.Maintain familiarity of the safe handling, environmental regulations and emergency response for all material in your area.Other duties as assigned. RequirementsHigh school diploma / GED required.5+ years of experience with maintenance experience.2+ years of experience in supervision/management.
