Earn while you learn!Summary of Position: The Shipping and Receiving/Utility Tech will provide primary coverage for day-to-day shipping and receiving duties as well as supplemental support to skilled texturing specialists in a variety of departments throughout the plant. Role is an entry level position with opportunity to learn and grow by enhancing skillsets over time. Tracks for advancement include admittance in the Engraving Apprenticeship program or a single, specialized area subject to satisfactory performance and development of relevant skill sets. Essential Duties: Shipping and receiving: check in tools properly and swiftly, prepping completed jobs to be shipped back to the customer/tool shopShipping and receiving: assists in areas of package and prep, load, and unload trucks as neededShipping and receiving: completes customers paperwork, shipping and receiving paperwork - FedEx, UPS, shippers etc. Ensures timely and accurate data entry into SAP systemOperates tool room equipment such as cranes and hi-lowsProvides secondary/back up support in other areas, such as Tool Prep (cleaning and prepping tools) and Laser (loading tools in laser engraving machine), etc. Follows all OSHA safety guidelines, as well as company policies and proceduresCommunicates problems in a timely manner to ManagementKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Able to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborative within a team centered groupA desire to grow skillsets, ability to learn new processes via written and verbal instructions Able to keep a clean and organized work environment Keyboarding skills (entering data accurately), utilizing the internet, e-mail Must be proactive and show initiative in taking on and completing projectsStrong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all timesAbility to work independently from verbal and/or written instructions from the Production LeadershipReliable/good attendance and punctualityGood communication skillsEducational Requirements/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Experience in an industrial setting desired. Additional Requirements/Details Must be able to work a standard 40-hour work week with occasional overtime including weekends as a possibilitySitting and/or standing for an extended period of time as well as some walking within the facility. Reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling (not an all-inclusive list)Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbsPosition shall be reviewed for entry into the Engraving Apprentice Program at around the 6 – 12 month mark, based on performance, interest, and business need
