CNC Machinist / Programmer CNC Machinist/Programmer Job Summary We are currently seeking a highly experienced, reliable, and motivated CNC machinist/programmer to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for part programming, tool selection, as well as job setup and operation in a small lot machining/R&D environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in understanding technical drawings and sketches as well as have a strong foundation in CNC turning; Mazak and Okuma conversational programming experience is a plus. CNC Machinist/Programmer responsibilities: Work from complex prints to program and machine parts of various materials (primarily stainless steel and common plastics) on our Haas vertical mills and Mazak CNC turning centers. Set and adjust work/tool offsets as necessary. Independently select and set up tooling and fixtures/jaws. Monitor the run of parts in cycle and after completion to ensure that specifications and tolerances are met. Be proficient in using and understanding all common machine shop measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauge, indicators, ID/OD micrometers, etc. Train and mentor peers, when necessary Other duties as required by Production Manager Required qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, technical school certification a plus 5+ years of CNC machining experience; primary proficiency in CNC turning. Strong knowledge of lathe and mill tooling/inserts Be able to properly follow verbal instructions as well as interpret technical drawings/sketches.
