Employment is provided by Heluna Health.The Patient Safety Attendant (Nurse Aide) provides continuous observation and non-clinical support for high-risk patients within the acute care hospital setting. Working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Safety Attendant ensures the safety of patients who may be at risk for falls, self-harm, or wandering due to cognitive impairment or medical conditions. This is a vital role in maintaining the safety and "Aloha" spirit of care for our Hilo community.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSContinuous Observation: Maintain constant visual contact with the assigned patient to ensure safety and prevent injury from falling inflicting harm to self or others.
