Travel Respiratory Therapist - NICU RT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist specializing in NICU/Pediatrics with at least 2 years of critical care experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a Level 1 Trauma, academic medical center in Winston-Salem, NC.Job Details• 885-bed Level 1 Trauma academic medical center with Chest Pain and Stroke Center designations,• NICU/Pediatric respiratory care unit with assignment based on traveler experience and unit needs,• Patient population includes post-surgical, pneumonia, COPD, asthma, and ED patients across neonatal/pediatric and adult settings,• EMR: Epic (experience preferred),• Equipment includes Servo U, Servo Air, The Vest, Volara, Aerogen, Heated High Flow, and cough assist; HFJV and HFOV experience preferred for pediatric assignments,• Night shift: 18:30-07:00, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week,• Every other weekend rotation,• No on-call required,• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays,• No floating requirement - assignments based on traveler experience and unit needs,Job Requirements• Active NC Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable,• RRT required; CRT is acceptable but not preferred,• Current certifications: BLS, PALS, and NRP,• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy critical care experience, with most recent experience within the last year,• Previous experience with pediatric patients required,• Proficiency in mechanical ventilation, airway support, monitoring and diagnostics, patient assessment, documentation, and time management,• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or high-acuity organization preferred,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility,• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration,• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN,Additional Information• First-time travelers will be considered for this position,• Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast (AHSE) facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible,• Respiratory Therapists provide care across ICU and medical/surgical areas based on departmental needs,• Each shift is supported by dedicated Adult and Pediatric Lead Therapists with a strong teamwork culture,• Department is known for excellent collaboration among a team with extensive tenure and experience,• Orientation includes a facility-level NEO and 1-2 days of departmental orientation,• Scheduling is managed on a 6-week cycle with RTO subject to manager approval,• Scrub color: pewter (charcoal grey),• Free parking available on-site
