Hi-Tek offers a clean, climate-controlled environment and we believe in quality and safety above all else.General Purpose:Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Assistant Maintenance Manager desires to develop their career in an advanced manufacturing technology facility. The Assistant Maintenance Manager is a subject matter expert and is motivated to progress into a managers role in the future. The Assistant Maintenance Manager is a professional role and must collaborate with both internal staff and external customers such as vendors and customers.Essential Tasks: Solid understanding of facilities management principles and practicesFamiliarity with project management methodologies to effectively oversee maintenance initiativesExperience in manufacturing environments, with a strong emphasis on safety protocolsHelp ensure all plant processes are operating mechanically to plant standards and expectationsMust possess a hands-on approach with maintenance staffAssist in planning new equipment installationsAssist with regular inspections of facilities and equipmentAssist with tracking work orders, maintenance specific inventory, and preventative maintenance schedulesAssist with maintaining accurate records of maintenance activitiesAssist with documentation for new and existing machineryAssists maintenance staff with necessary maintenance and repairs as requiredAssist with the upkeep and preventive maintenance of manufacturing machinery, including CNC equipmentAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writingAssume a managers role in the absence of the current managerEducation and Experience:7+ years in manufacturing including 2+ years at a manager level position directing operations of similar manufacturing facility with direct responsibility to meet production throughput and quality goalsMust have a minimum of 5+ years' experience in CNC machiningMust have a minimum of 2+ years in a leadership role with 10+ direct reportsExperience working with complex / engineered product linesConsiderable experience defining and utilizing manufacturing systems, data, and metrics to plan and execute production plansAble to lead cross functional teams to identify the root cause and implement effective corrective actions for problems which impede the execution of production plansExcellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills required to effectively interact with all teams, areas, and levels of businessDemonstrated ability to work independently and successfully multi-task, excellent organizational skills, a high sense of urgencyAssociate's degree+ and or trade school certification preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office Productions requiredKnowledge of ADP Workforce Now a plusMust be able to follow verbal and written instructions in EnglishMust be able to clearly communicate information to others verbally and in writing in EnglishMust meet the ITAR definition of 120.15 U.S. personKey Competencies:Culture DevelopmentEffective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skillsConceptual and Initiative-taking thinkingCoaching and collaborationBalanced decision makingProven analytical and organizational abilityHigh ethical standards and personal integrity among employeesAbility to operate autonomously and self-directComplex Problem SolvingSafety PerspectiveResolution-MindsetStewardshipPhysical Requirements:Climbing stairs occasionally when meeting with engineers or other staff members.Will be required to sit, stand, or walk for the entire duration of the shift.May need to lift, push, or pull items weighing up to 35 lbs. on an occasional basis.Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, bend, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
