Job Title: Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney Pay Rate: DOE (2-4 years = $130K-160K, 5-7 years = $160K -$180K, 8-10 years = $180K-200K) plus excellent benefits and 401KLocation: Hybrid ( 90% remote, 10% in-person in office: Orange County, Los Angeles, Westlake Village, Ontario, San Diego, Sacramento, Oakland, Redding, San Jose, or Fresno)We are looking for a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney We are partnering with a highly reputable California-based law firm specializing in workers’ compensation defense. This is a hybrid role with some travel required for hearings, depositions, and occasional office meetings.Responsibility:Manage the full lifecycle of workers’ compensation defense cases from inception through resolutionRepresent clients at hearings, depositions, and court appearancesConduct legal research and provide strategic guidance to clientsDraft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documentsHandle discovery, litigation, and case strategyNegotiate settlements effectively and ethicallyCollaborate with insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators (TPAs)Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with internal processesBuild and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communicationRequirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolActive member of the California State Bar (required)2+ years of workers’ compensation defense experience preferredStrong analytical, research, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to manage cases proactively and independentlyComfortable working with legal technology and case management tools
