In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychiatric assessments, medication management, and therapy to diverse patient populations across various settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in psychiatric care, demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, and be committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered treatment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals' mental well-being through evidence-based practices and collaborative care.Responsibilities:Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and risk assessmentsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with best practices and clinical guidelinesPrescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications while ensuring patient safety and adherence to regulatory standardsProvide psychotherapy interventions tailored to patient needs, utilizing evidence-based modalitiesCollaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive careDocument all clinical encounters accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorksEducate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication managementParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research projects, and staff training sessionsMaintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient informationEngage in telehealth services to expand access to mental health care across diverse populationsSkills:Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)Active Tennessee APRN license (or ability to obtain before start date)DEA registration (or ability to obtain)Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP)Minimum 2 years of clinical experience practicing as a psychiatric NP (post-certification)Current BLS and ACLS certificationComfortable with IV administration and patient monitoringStrong documentation, critical thinking, and independent clinical judgmentPreferred:Experience with ketamine infusion therapy, Spravato (esketamine), procedural sedation, or IV infusion services.Certified or trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), CBT, ACT, EMDR, or other evidence-based psychotherapy modalities.Licensed or license-eligible for independent psychotherapy practice in Tennessee.Background in outpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, or pain management.Outpatient or private practice experience Familiarity with collaborative practice agreements in Tennessee.Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 (based on experience)Equity ownership in the Professional Corporation (details discussed during interview)Therapy Certification Bonus: PMHNPs who also hold psychotherapy certification (KAP, CBT, EMDR, ACT, or equivalent) — or who are willing to obtain KAP certification within 6 months — are eligible for a $5,000 – $10,000 signing bonus and enhanced profit-sharing termsPerformance bonuses tied to clinic growthCEU/training allowance (including ketamine-specific certifications)Malpractice insurance with tail coveragePaid time offFlexible scheduling as patient volume buildsNo nights, no weekends, no on-callThis role is ideal for professionals committed to advancing mental health services through compassionate care, clinical excellence, and innovative treatment approaches.
