OPS Class Checker - Hawkins Center

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an OPS Class Checker to monitor class attendance of select student athletes in an identified set of UF courses.The OPS Class Checker must:Demonstrate the ability to effectively track attendance of select student-athletesAct professionally at all times and serve as a positive role modelHave the willingness to comply with UAA, NCAA, and UF rolesFollow class checking proceduresAttend mandatory meetingsCommunicate effectively with supervisor, colleagues, and other advisorsMaintain a thorough knowledge of what constitutes a violation of the rulesThis posting will be open until a qualified candidate has been selected.MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Required Qualifications:Must be 18 years of ageHave a High School Diploma or GED (general education degree)Able to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgroundsStrong time management and communication skillsKnowledge and familiarity with the University of Florida campusAvailable to work between the hours of 8am-2pmBENEFITS:This is a part-time position with no associated benefits.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Interviews may be conducted prior to the closing date, but no offer of employment will be extended until after the position closes.
