JOB TITLE: Sanitation AssociateDEPARTMENT: SanitationDIRECT SUPERVISOR: Sanitation LeadDEPARTMENT MANAGER: QA DirectorBACKUP PERSONNEL: Sanitation Supervisor/Other Sanitation AssociateGENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:Sanitation Associate schedule is 1PM to 9:30PM, M-F, with occasional overtime and weekends. Flexibility is required. Sanitation Associate is responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of equipment in compliance with company policies related to good manufacturing practices (GMP'S), Food Safety and Human Safety.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Required to work in wet environment with exposure to cleaning chemicalsClean and sanitize equipment and utensils dailyClean other production, warehouse, cooler and freezer areas, as neededFollows and records daily, weekly, and quarterly Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)Follows relevant Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP's)Follows food safety standards including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), food regulations, and other sanitation proceduresAble to use required provided Personal Protective EquipmentAssure a safe work environment and report safety concerns to appropriate ManagementResponsible for food safety and qualityOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Sanitation or cleaning experience in food manufacturing (preferred but not required)Able to lift 50lbsAble to stand for long periods of time
