Emergency Medicine PhysicianAn Emergency Medicine Physician is needed to support a full-time coverage need in a critical access hospital setting. The role includes in-house emergency coverage with low patient volume and inpatient responsibilities.Schedule & Coverage:Minimum of 3 shifts per pay periodPrimary shift length: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 AM); occasional 12-hour shiftsIn-house call with sleep room availableMultiple open shifts available from February through MarchPractice Setting:Critical Access Hospital3-bed Emergency Department and 20 inpatient bedsAverage ED volume: approximately 4 patients per dayAverage inpatient census: approximately 4 patients (observation, acute, and swing bed)Inpatient responsibilities includedEMR: Epic (TogetherCare)Staffing & Support:4 Advanced Practice Providers (no supervision required)Nursing support: 2 RNsAncillary staff: 1 CNA per providerMedical imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services availableClinical Responsibilities:Emergency department coverageInpatient care managementNo outreach responsibilitiesRequirements & Qualifications:Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or Family/Internal Medicine with recent emergency medicine experienceActive state medical licenseClean malpractice and background historyCurrent NPDB report required for submission
