Junior Cathodic Protection Tech

Position SummaryAcuren is currently recruiting for a Junior Cathodic Protection Tech for our Magnolia, TX location.The Intermediate CP Technician is responsible for planning and performing technical duties that support assigned projects. Job tasks include but are not limited to: testing, evaluating, remediation and installation of cathodic protection systems. The Intermediate CP Technician works independently with moderate supervision or as part of a project team and follows procedures and specifications applicable to the job scope.ResponsibilitiesFollow applicable procedures and standards to diagnose and troubleshoot cathodic protection and AC mitigation system deficiencies, conduct various types of field surveys and assessments, and complete installationsMaintain detailed field notes and provide field level assessment to inspection results and recommendationsSketch various CP system components and electrical schematicsProvide technical assistance to other divisions within the companyConduct and/or supervise various field tests (ex. structure potential, CIPS, AC, DCVG, ACVG, ACCA, line locating, soil resistivity, current requirements, etc.) under minimal support from senior team memberOrganize and review data gathered, prepare charts and tablesField test equipment, software and testing procedures; log results and communicate to development team(s); provide issue resolution recommendations to development team(s)Contribute to internal initiatives as requiredProvide training and mentorship to junior staffContribute to the continual improvement quality processConform to corporate, client, and government operating and safety proceduresDevelop trusted business relationships with existing and prospective clientsAdditional duties as assignedRequirements2+ years in pipeline integrity or oil and gas industry1+ years in cathodic protection or AC mitigationNACE CP2 certificationRectifier training or experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe AcrobatBenefitsCompetitive salaryMedical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance401K PlanPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffCompany OverviewAcuren is a trusted, single source provider of technology-enabled asset protection solutions used to evaluate the structural integrity of critical energy, industrial and public infrastructures.
