Financial Director

The Rappahannock Tribe in Indian Neck, VA, is dedicated to preserving Rappahannock culture, traditional social structures, with the restoration and conservation of our historic lands and resources. The Tribe also focuses on educating the public about the significant contributions made by the Rappahannocks to Virginia and the Nation.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Director at the Rappahannock Tribe in Indian Neck, VA. The Financial Director will be responsible for overseeing the Finance Department, for a tribal government maninging miltiple federal grants. Must be knowlegable of government grant compliance to ensure that reported results are in compliance with OMB Title 2 , CFR Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. Duties include planning, forecasting, financial statements, payroll, tax reports, cash management, treasury accounts systems of the various agencies for which funding is awarded and financial reporting requirements and systems. Producing monthly financial statements including tracking project and enterprise income and expenses to Council, managing investment portfolio, managing for profit income from entreprises, devoping and negotiating our indirect costs rate annually and over seeing the annual single audit and reporting requirements.QualificationsFinancial Planning and Financial Statements skillsAnalytical SkillsFinance and Financial Reporting skillsStrong understanding of financial regulations and complianceExcellent problem-solving abilitiesBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, a Masters or CPA level is a plus.J-18808-Ljbffr
