The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and advancing the organization's long-term strategic vision, establishing clear priorities, and ensuring mission-aligned decision-making. This role demands a dynamic, strategic leader with a proven track record in managing complex, distributed organizations and a deep commitment to the success of student veterans. Key responsibilities include fostering a culture of integrity, transparency, and inclusion, anticipating and responding to emerging trends, and building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including federal agencies, industry partners, and the media. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, as well as a strong background in organizational and financial management. Experience in higher education, veterans' issues, nonprofit leadership, or public policy is preferred. The President and CEO will also be tasked with modernizing internal systems, aligning financial resources, and advocating for student veterans at state and national levels. A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an advanced degree, and a deep connection to the organization's mission or experience as a student veteran is highly valued.
