Job Description
Description: Help maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment on commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, data centers, and critical cooling facilities. Technician I is a competent commercial technician that brings the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair package units up to 130 tons, split systems, and water source heat pumps. Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams. Conduct work exhibiting a professional demeanor and tactful and courteous communication with a diverse client base.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair various HVAC systems including: Split systems (including large split systems), Built up systems, Water source heat pumps, small and large tonnage rooftop units.Troubleshoot air flow, air distribution, building pressure, and VAV systems.Maintain VFDs in various applications.Trace out and troubleshoot complex electrical systemsMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair specialized systems such as Liebert equipment, Aaon units, etc...Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including the proper use of PPEMaintain an organized and clean company vehicleManage assigned projects, including coordinating with Account Managers and Service Coordinator for parts, subcontractors, and laborArrange and communicate daily schedule with Service CoordinatorCoordinate and maintain company-issued tools and equipmentComplete accurate timecards, service activities, and inspection reportsCollaborate with other team members, including Service Coordinators and Service Supervisors, to proactively anticipate and develop solutions to client problemsDemonstrate professional craftsmanship and pride in your workArticulate diagnostics and resolutions in communications and correspondence with clients and teamWork safely following industry standardsOther duties as assigned.Requirements: Basic qualifications2 to 5 years of commercial HVAC experience.Associate's degree, or equivalent experience and trainingValid Driver's LicenseCurrent EPA UniversalTexas ACR RegisteredCurrent Texas TDLR RegistrationProvide basic hand tools, i.e. gauges, meter(s), screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.Actively seek training, coaching, and expand knowledge of the industryFlexibility to work overtime and weekends, as neededBasic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and smartphones
