Linux Engineer
Overview:
You will deliver and support IT services for Maritz, maintaining the enterprise Linux-based infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable hosting and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement platform improvements, automation, and security controls that support business goals. This role combines hands-on engineering with problem solving to reduce downtime and technical debt. Responsibilities:
Project/Platform Support: shape Linux server strategy, deployment, and optimization; contribute to infra projects and ensure best practices
Key requirements:
- Strong experience in RedHat Linux 2+ years experience with cloud-based Linux deployment (AWS or GCP)
- Working knowledge of Terraform, Apache HTTPD, Tomcat, OpenSSL, AWS, and GCPAbility to interpret and apply security requirements to infrastructure
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving
- Commitment to automation and reduction of technical debt
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently
- Participation in After-Hours On-Call rotation
