Overview In this role you will support and lead power system planning and study activities within Arcadis' Power Delivery team. You’ll perform complex analyses and studies for North American clients, coordinating across engineering disciplines to deliver sound, constructible plans. The work combines technical rigor with client engagement and cross-unit collaboration, contributing to sustainable grid solutions. A likelihood of travel and exposure to leading edge planning tools adds variety and impact. Compensation / Benefitsmedicaldentalvision401Kpaid holidaysPTO ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and perform power system planning and study tasks for regulated and non-regulated clientsConduct load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, electromagnetic transient, and small-signal analysesDevelop planning studies and system performance analyses to meet standards and good engineering practiceQA client reports and deliverables, ensuring accuracy and thoroughnessCollaborate with Substation, Transmission, Protection & Control, Renewables, and other practices to support master plansDevelop project scopes, budgets, and proposals, and assist with cross-selling and staffing opportunitiesTravel up to 25% to client sites and meetings, within NA and internationally Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferredMinimum 5 years of direct experience in power system study analysis and planningProficiency with PSSE (load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability)Experience with alternative planning software (TARA, PSLF, DigSILENT, DSA Tools) is highly desirableFamiliar with North American Market Operators (MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, NY-ISO, CAISO, ERCOT, SSP, AESO, IESO) and interconnection/planning criteriaPE license (preferred)team playerexcellent communicationcross-functional collaborationPSSE software proficiencyload-flowshort-circuit
